ערשטע סצענע, אין אַ שפּיטאָל־קאָרידאָר. אַ װײַסער, אַ פֿאַרװאַלטער־פֿיגור, גײט פֿאַרבײַ. טראָגט אַ העל־גרינעם װעסט װי די שאָסײ־אַרבעטערס. ער גײט צו צו אַ סטראָזש, אַן אַפֿראָ־אַמעריקאַנערין.
ער: אין שפּיטאָל מוז מען טראָגן אַ מאַסקע.
זי: בלױז אַ פּאָר סעקונדעס, אַן איבעררײַס.
ער: נישטאָ קײן איבעררײַס פֿון קאָראָנאַ!
זי: בלױז אַ הפֿסקהלע…
איך גײ אַרײַן אין אַ ליפֿט צוזאַמען מיט אַ סטראָזש. װידער אַן אַפֿראָ־אַמעריקאַנערין.
זי: דאָקטער, קען איך דיך עפּעס פֿרעגן?
איך: זיכער.
זי: קען דער װירוס זיך צוקלעפּן צו דער הױט?
איך: יאָ, אָבער ווען מע וואַשט זיך גוט אָפּ — סײַ זיך, סײַ די איבערפֿלאַכן, קען מען זיך גוט באַשיצן.
זי: טאַקע שרעקעדיק.
איך: יאָ. מע באַצאָלט אײַך „אָווערטײַם‟ (העכערע שׂכירות פֿאַר די איבער־שעהען) וואָס איר אַרבעט איצט?
