For all you OG “Veronica Mars” fans, we have a surprise as sweet as a marshmallow.

Last month it was announced that the early 2000s teen murder mystery series, which starred Kristen Bell as the titular investigative popular high schooler, will be rebooted for a limited series on Hulu. In the first season, Veronica’s love interest Leo was played by Max Greenfield, known to us today as “New Girl” comic-anchor Schmidt, the stereotype-destroying Jewish renaissance man.

Here’s the exciting update: Along with Bell, Greenfield will return for Hulu’s limited series revival, TV Line’s Michael Ausiello reports. If you need a refresher, Leo is Veronica’s season 1 deputy sheriff boyfriend, who fought crime, loved pizza, and was in a band. Basically every teen girl’s dream boy. Max Greenfield is an emotionally developed hottie with ideal comic timing. Basically every human’s dream man!

And if the Jewish stud’s reappearance on the upcoming show isn’t enough of an early Hanukkah gift for you, then get this: Kirby Howell-Baptiste, who played Simone in season 3 of the Good Place (alongside Bell), will play the recurring role of Nicole, the owner of a Neptune nightclub. This cast list is the stuff of dreams.

Kristen Bell told Entertainment Tonight, “Well, marshmallows can expect the same characters but also a lot of new characters, and a much more adult show. The show will have grown with Veronica. It will also have grown with the fan base because, you know, it was on 15 years ago. I can’t even remember.”

Will Veronica solve the murders of Neptune’s high school spring breakers? Will Greenfield’s Leo character be as dreamier than ever? Will there ever be a three-way crossover between “Veronica Mars,” “The Good Place,” and “New Girl”? We’ll just have to wait to find out in 2019.
