Cardi B Made A Rumored $500K For Playing Glitzy Bar Mitzvah Party

Picture the scene: a slew of teenyboppers fist-pumping and thundering the words of “Bodak Yellow” as they toast the bar mitzvah boy with Kedem grape juice shots.
Cardi B was hired to attend and perform at a lavish extravaganza for one Jake, a bar mitzvah boy — nay, man — who celebrated his call to the Torah in Manhattan last weekend. Jake made his grand party entrance, Page Six reports, surrounded by Knicks City dancers, strutting to the glorious sounds of Cardi B’s chart-topping tunes.
Who better to help lead Jake, the man of the hour, into the sublimity of adulthood than Cardi B? The rapper’s larger-than-life personality, pizzazz, and relatable vibes make her an obvious choice for a bar mitzvah guest list.

The combination of puppy love, Torah reading, and delicacies from Tao Group restaurants can be seen above. The visible look of excitement and content plastered across his face reminds us of what it feels like to be 13 again, though our b’nei mitzvahs did not exactly resemble Jake’s.
But Cardi B’s presence doesn’t come cheap. “Page Six” reported that her attendance came at quite a hefty price; the star “wouldn’t get out of bed for less than half a million.” And it’s a competitive market — Rich the Kid performed uptown at another Bar Mitzvah bash on the same night, this one in the Dendur Temple at the Met. You know — to keep the “temple” theme going.
