You Could Go On A Date With Howie Mandel’s Son, Thanks To A Jewish Matchmaker

Everyone’s looking to find love these days, even the children of Hollywood’s rich and famous. That’s why Alex Mandel, son of famed comedian Howie Mandel, has decided to partner up with Jewish dating app Jcrush on his quest for a shidduch. Strangely, we are all invited to go on this wild ride.
Throughout time, Jewish history and culture has stressed the importance of finding soulmates, devoting oneself to marriage, and building loving homes. Alex Mandel’s sole intention in this collaboration may not be continuing the proud march of Jewish cultural tradition, but he’s certainly willing to try.
We’ve all been there — you’re on a date and everything you say and do comes out wrong. Alex Mandel won’t be having that problem. That’s because Alex will be wearing an ear piece during his date. Yes, an ear piece. Sonya Kreizman, JCrush CEO and renowned dating coach, will be whispering her wooing tips in his ear throughout the date (which will be videoed for our unadulterated pleasure in a two-part segment on Facebook Live).
“Landing a date on an app is easy, but people have a harder time on the date itself,” Kreizman told the Schmooze. That’s is why she is going to be coaching Alex through his date in the ear piece. She and Alex’s sister Jackie are hoping to help Alex “step up his game and get out of the friendzone.” We’d love nothing more than a Jewish, female Chris Harrison offering sage advice as Alex Mandel shows us his favorite old-school bakery in his LA neighborhood.
And odd enough, this could actually happen to us.
Alex and Jcrush’s collaboration will entail Alex using the app daily with the help of the dating guru, in the hopes of him bonding with one of his fellow VIP app members. If all goes according to plan, he will eventually take their relationship to the next level by inviting his prospective romantic interest to spend time with him in his hometown, LA. This sounds like bachelor-esque with a hint of Jewish-mom and we are here for it.
Oh, did we mention that if you are chosen as Mandel’s lucky date, your travel expenses to Los Angeles will be completely covered?
Alex Mandel is a celebrity in his own right. Over the past few years, Mandel has become a Youtube sensation, having accumulated a following of around 500,000 fans on the site due to his comedic videos. Alex has tried to use multiple dating apps in the past, without luck. Alex’s sister, Jackie, has taken on the persona and role usually reserved for Jewish moms: she is aggressively hunting for her brother’s shidduch. Jackie did what all brazen Jewish women should do – unabashedly slid into Jcrush’s Insta DMs – and asked them for help.
Alex’s first Facebook Live video with JCrush, which will air at 5 pm EST on Jackie’s Facebook page, will consist of Sonya and Jackie helping Alex set up a Jcrush profile. Sonya informed me that they are determined “to create the best potential dating profile for him” come hell or high resistence. Jcrush uses gifs, videos, voice-notes and even Spotify playlist sharing options, a “say shalom feature” that allows you to direct message a user to attract their attention, and the ability to use the site in an “incognito” fashion, which hides your identity from other users unless you swipe right on them.
