Zach Galifianakis and Cardi B Are Funnier Than Jerry Seinfeld Now. Sorry.

Accidentally introducing him as “Jerry Sandusky,” comedian Zach Galifianakis welcomed Jerry Seinfeld onto his comedy interview show, “Between Two Ferns.” Below Seinfeld, the words “Funny: 1993-1997.”

And where is the lie?

After describing “Seinfeld” as “a real launching pad for whites” and forcing the whole room to acknowledge Larry David’s supremacy over Seinfeld, Galifianakis said — “You have ‘Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee,’ James Corden has ‘Carpool Karaoke’ — what’s next in lazy, car-based non-comedy?”

After a visit from the glorious rap superstar Cardi B, whose every tweet is funnier than anything Seinfeld has send in the last triennium, the verdict was in: Seinfeld has been surpassed.

Sorry, 60 year-old Jewish men clutching Zabar’s mugs, the comedian who, in the words of Galifianakis “had a show on when Counting Crows were popular” just isn’t the final word in funny anymore.

Don’t despair, there will always be room for old white men! Larry David is still as funny as he was on the first day he tried to get us to curb our enthusiasm.
