Palestinian Supermodel Bella Hadid Calls Jerusalem Embassy Move ‘So Unjust’

Bella Hadid, the supermodel who this year transcended her “Real Housewives” origins to become one of the top ten best paid models of 2017, called Donald Trump’s decision to move the US embassy to Jerusalem “so unjust.” Writing on Instagram a day after the President announced the controversial decision, Hadid, whose father is Palestinian, reflected, “watching the news and seeing the pain of the Palestinian people makes me cry for the many many generations of Palestine.”

Hadid explained that she bears “no hate against anyone” and recognizes Jews as her brothers and sisters, but sees Jerusalem as “home of all religions.” She added that “seeing the sadness of my father, cousins, and Palestinian family that are feeling for our Palestinian ancestors makes this even harder to write.”

The 21 year-old model seemed to shift the blame not to Jews or political parties, but to “just one man” — President Trump. “I stand with Palestine,” she wrote, then added, “there are no sides.”
