The Neo-Nazi From Vice’s Charlottesville Documentary Is Officially Behind Bars

Ding dong, the witch is dead! Or rather, ding dong, the neo-Nazi is in jail. Either way, it’s something to celebrate.

Christopher Cantwell, the now infamous white supremacist who probably regrets having participated in Vice’s Charlottesville, Virginia documentary, has officially been arrested.

The neo-Nazi surrendered himself to police Wednesday after releasing a tearful YouTube video earlier in the week in which he sobbed as he discussed rumors (which turned out to be true) that there was a warrant out for his arrest.

Although he was arrested on charges of illegal use of tear gas and inflicting caustic bodily injury, Cantwell maintains that he acted only in self-defense. He has been denied bond and a trial date has been set for October 12.

I suppose if you’ve been kicked off of every major dating app for being a white nationalist, a jail cell is as good a place for a single man to spend his time as any.
