‘Broad City’ Sex Toy Line Was Designed By The Same Company That Designed Mötley Crüe’s

If you’re interested in investing in a new pegging kit, perhaps consider the Broad City Pegasus Pegging Kit. The kit comes with underwear that reads “Peg Like a Queen” proudly across the bum and has a hole in front to insert a large, pink dildo for … well, for pegging your partner, I suppose. In fact, I’m certain that’s what it’s for, although I’m sure you can get creative. The kit is an ode to the moment in “Broad City” when Abby Jacobson aggressively pegged her neighbor, who also happened to be the secret love of her life.

That love affair may not have worked out but that doesn’t mean the one between you, yourself, and you won’t. The Pegasus Pegging Kit is the centerpiece of the new sex toy collaboration between “Broad City” and Lovehoney, the UK sex toy retailer behind both Mötley Crüe’s and the “50 Shades of Gray” respective sex toy lines.

Lovehoney had a lavish launch party for the line on the Lower East Side Tuesday night, at which they plied the New York press with themed cocktails, variations on ethnic cuisine, and a photobooth with sex toy props, a contained space for taking the immature photographs you would have taken either way. But, as they say, sex sells itself and no amount of penis cupcakes were necessary to convince me that this sex toy line is an objectively good thing.

It’s simple: “Broad City” is awesome. Self-love is awesome. Kegel balls with a secret stash compartment? It’s the best of both worlds.

With names like “Boss B****,” “Respect Your Dick,”and “The Vulvarine,” the line targets women who “pride themselves on sex and body positivity, female pleasure, and joyous experimentation.” Head of Marketing for Lovehoney, Elaine Sosna, says the line is something of a sex toy starter pack — a discreet clitoral vibrator, yes. Whips and chains, no.

“[Abbi and Ilana] approached us about a collaboration,” said Sosna. “The show hasn’t quite caught on in the UK yet so I had never seen it but I ended up binge watching the series in a few days. It was the perfect opportunity for us to expand our brand in the United States and the perfect opportunity for them to seek out an audience in the UK.”

To peruse the naughty offerings, you can go to Lovehoney’s online retail site. If you’re especially clever, you can probably click your way from there to Mötley Crüe’s sex toy bonanza.

Yasss Peen … am I right?
