Lena Dunham Live-Tweeted Her Traumatic Experience At JFK And It’s Hella Relatable
Celebrities –- they’re just like us! They stress about work, they deal with heartbreak, and they’re not immune to the trauma that seems to walk hand-in-hand with flying nowadays.
Yesterday, Lena Dunham live tweeted her trash fire of a flight. The flight was delayed by four hours, leaving the usually busy celebrity with time to share her extremely relatable emotions with the Twitter masses.

If you wanna know somebody’s truth, watch them reckon with a flight that’s been delayed 4 hours.

My airport behavior, I must concede, has been outwardly polite but extremely self-destructive (food wise)
— Lena Dunham (@lenadunham) August 3, 2017
Y’all I have some time and an open ❤️- answering (polite) questions for the next 5 mins

Time has stopped at airport. Man is viciously gnawing fruits snacks after calling the gate attendant a bitch. Lord of the FLIGHTS get it!? pic.twitter.com/9nXAuiqdsR

To the woman who just yelled “I hate this plane and I have to shit!” I worship and fear you
— Lena Dunham (@lenadunham) August 3, 2017
Y’all, they let us board the plane, we waited an hour then they asked us to get off. The vibe is very Les Mis RN.

Not gonna call out the airline who delayed cuz shit happens BUT I did just overhear 2 @AmericanAir attendants having a transphobic talk.
— Lena Dunham (@lenadunham) August 3, 2017
At this moment in history we should be teaching our employees about love and inclusivity @AmericanAir. That was worst part of this night.

For those of you who are worried about the star’s mental health, it appears that she will fully recover from this experience.
For those who followed my airport saga yesterday, here’s my takeaway: these days it’s the little things. A smile. Offering a seat. Respect.

We can’t afford to treat each other like cattle when we have a government that does. Being trapped at the airport filled me with love!

Dunham may have declined to share the name of the airline that did her so wrong but let’s be real — it could have been any of them.
