‘Wonder Woman’ Director Shares Adorable List Of Children’s Reaction To Her Film
As if its record-breaking success isn’t enough to convince you that Hollywood should make more movies like ‘Wonder Woman,’ Patty Jenkins tweeted out another – arguably more important – reason last night.
Jenkins tweeted a picture of a list that a producer had sent to her with several examples of how ‘Wonder Woman’ had affected the kids in a kindergarten classroom.
My producer just sent me this… ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE! This makes every hard day worth it. Thank you to whomever wrote it!!❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ pic.twitter.com/3DzIaMueIh> — Patty Jenkins (@PattyJenks) June 11, 2017
You can read the full list for yourself – and I highly recommend that you do – but there are a few that stand out, including the anecdote about a little girl who now refuses to acknowledge anyone who doesn’t refer to her as Wonder Woman. Good for you, little girl!
Another equally adorable kindergartner printed out a list of every female superhero so as to avoid playground brawls when it came to assigning make-believe roles at recess.
Gal Gadot enthusiastically retweeted Jenkins’ list.
Wow the last paragraph really gave me the chills. So true. So powerful. Gives me a huge drive to dive in and work on the next one..?? https://t.co/mI4hYfbNkV— Gal Gadot (@GalGadot) June 11, 2017
Now that we have irrefutable proof that female-led superhero movies can break the box office, hopefully little girls (and little boys!) can finally grow up with multiple female role model just as badass as Batman.
