Scarlett Johansson and Ilana Glazer Murder Comedy Is Already Getting Backlash

The beginning of the trailer for “Rough Night,” a comedy starring Scarlett Johansson, Ilana Glazer and Zoë Kravitz, starts out standard enough. A group of old college pals get together for a bachelorette party, and plenty of alcohol, reminiscing and general debauchery ensues.

Only this time, one of the women accidentally kills a stripper and the whole plot unfolds from there.

The movie, penned by “Broad City” writers Lucia Aniello and Paul W. Downs, is generating a divided reaction from the internet community. Many critics have taken to Twitter to condemn the idea of playing a stripper’s death for laughs, while others are simply annoyed because they feel like they have been there, done that.

Elsewhere on the Twittersphere, excitement was brewing over the upcoming film, with posts applauding the cast of heavy-hitters, which includes SNL’s Kate McKinnon and Demi Moore.
