LISTEN: Sean Lennon Sings Carrie Fisher’s Last Song

This weekend, Sean Lennon, son of John Lennon and Yoko Ono, released a stunning recording of a song he co-wrote with Carrie Fisher.

The tune, sung by 16-year-old Willow Smith, was penned during one of Lennon and Fisher’s late night hang out sessions.

“Carrie and I wrote this song years ago,” Lennon wrote on his Soundcloud page. “When she died I just felt I had to record it.”

Lennon called Fisher’s lyrics “marvelous,” and said that spending time with her was some of his “best moments.”

“Carrie and I used to stay up til dawn chatting and pontificating about life,” he explained. “We wrote a song about staying up too late and hearing the birds sing.”
