WATCH: This Thanksgiving, Wolf Blitzer Moderates Your Awkward Family Dinner

Brace yourselves, America. With political tension in the air, annoying relatives visiting and weird family dynamics all around—there’s potential for a whole lot of awkwardness during Thanksgiving this year.

Thankfully, Wolf Blitzer is here to help.

The CNN reporter was on hand for sketch featured on “The Ellen Show” Monday morning, involving a heated Thanksgiving dinner discussion in desperate need of a moderator.

“Hillary should be in prison,” one guest proclaimed, waving her fork around.

“She won the popular vote!” another family member shouted back.

Blitzer, dressed neatly in a suit, stepped in.

“Mrs. Douglas, Uncle Luke,” he said. “If we could just please get back to the original question.” He paused. “Could somebody please pass the salt?”

Blitzer was also on hand to make sure that everybody had a chance to talk. When one family member started going on a tangent about her swollen feet, the moderator interrupted.

“You have five seconds,” Blitzer told her.

As the foot tangent continued, he decided to put an end to it.

“Aunt Pearl,” Blitzer said. “You’re out of time.”

Check out the rest of Blitzer’s moderating skills (including calming people down after one relative said he voted for Gary Johnson) below:
