Chelsea Handler Destroys Ann Coulter After Bailing on Talk Show Appearance

Chelsea Handler was just attempting a balanced dialogue when she invited Ann Coulter onto her Netflix show.

“Since I’m always accused of not representing both sides in this election I went out on a limb and booked one of the most vocal Trump supporters in the country,” the comedian told her audience on Wednesday.

But then the Republican commentator canceled the day of, over email, and Handler decided to turn the segment into a full-on roast.

“Do you know how seriously I take this job?” she began, holding up a copy of Coulter’s book “In Trump We Trust.” “I was up until 5 am this morning reading this piece of garbage.”

Handler then went onto conduct the interview anyway — enlisting fellow comedian Fortune Feimster to don a long blonde wig and fill in as Coulter’s “body double.”

Feimster pulled out a copy of “In Trump We Trust” and began reading from select passages, including Coulter’s take on women’s rights.

“It would be a much better country if women did not vote, that is simply a fact,” she read out loud.

When Handler pressed her as to whether she, herself, would like the right to vote, Feimster expressed disdain. “I’m a woman, but I don’t love it. It’s not my favorite.”

Other gems read out loud included Coulter’s take on liberals (they should be sent to Guantanamo) and the government (they should be “engaging in torture as a televised spectator sport”).

In the end, Handler, who has been turned down by other Trump supporters for interviews, told the Daily Beast that she was pleased with the unexpected way the interview went.

“it was better to have Fortune anyway,” she said. “It made it much more fun.”
