Larry David Heckles Donald Trump on ‘SNL’ — and Scores $5K
Donald Trump was three minutes into his controversial hosting duties on SNL Saturday Night when it came.
“You’re a racist!” the strangely familiar voice boomed.
“Who the hell is … oh, I knew this was going to happen,” Trump responded. “Who is that?”
A spotlight goes on and it is Larry David. “Trump’s a racist!”
There was a twinkle in his eye so it was almost immediately clear it was a bit.
“I heard if I did that, they’d give me $5,000,” David added.
“As a businessman, I can fully respect that,” the GOP presidential candidate said.
Hundreds protested outside 30 Rock, stunned that NBC had given a platform to Trump, who has slandered Mexicans as rapists and drug deals and vowed to deport millions.
And the $5,000 bounty was very real — and will be paid, said the group that offered it, the Deport Racism PAC.
“We’re hoping the $5,000 will help people on set or in the studio audience find the bravery to speak out loudly and help focus the national conversation on that we need to deport racism, not people,” organizer Santiago Cejudo said earlier last week.
“It’s 2016, and Trump needs to hear that you can’t win the White House without the brown vote.”
