‘Broad City’ Cancels Filming in Israel Amid Violence

The rising wave of violence in Israel is already having a real impact on Israeli tourism and culture.

Which is why we were saddened to learn that Abbi Jacobson and Ilana Glazer from “Broad City” will not be filming an episode for their third season in Israel, according to . The two were supposed to fly over sometime in October 2015 with the Comedy Central crew, but because of the recent escalation of violence in Israel, they scrapped the planned episode.

The original intentions were to film Ilana and Abbi on a Birthright-type trip which, let’s face it, would have been hilarious (imagine Ilana and Abbi getting high at Masada, hummus munchies, or hitting on IDF soldiers). I guess we won’t get to see Abbi and Ilana trekking through Jerusalem this year.

The Jewish broads of “Broad City” will have to stay in New York City this season, which is set to premier on Comedy Central in February 2016. But perhaps they’ll reschedule their trip to Season 4? After all, Abbi is dangerously close to that Birthright cut-off age…

Fingers crossed.
