Don’t Invite These ‘Difficult People’ To Your Funeral

Amy Poehler may play Joy in Pixar’s ‘Inside Out,’ but there’s nothing happy about the teaser for her new show.

“Difficult People,” which will premiere on Hulu on August 5, shows New Yorkers at their worst. The teaser stars Billy Eichner and Julie Klauser as the worst funeral guests ever — they’re loud, obnoxious, without any semblance of sympathy and HANGRY.

Eichner-Klauser casting aside, there’ nothing overtly Jewish about the show. In fact, the funeral hall looks suspiciously like a church. But come on, asking for falafel during a service? That takes some major chutzpah. Maybe the two can treat us to a shiva buffet smackdown?

To those naysayers who will inevitably shout anti-Semitism at the association of Jews and the word “difficult,” I say this: Can’t we just embrace it?

In any case, I’ll be watching — with a slice in hand!
