Jews of the Forbes 400

The Forbes 400 list of the richest people of America was released on Monday.

As expected, Bill Gates (#1) and Warren Buffet (#2) topped the list with $72 billion and $58.5 billion, respectively. But members of the tribe made notable appearances, taking up eight spots in the Top 20.

Larry Ellison, co-founder of Oracle Corporation nabbed the #3 spot with $41 billion; Charles and David Koch tied at #4 with $36 billion; New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg made it to 10th (the four spots above were given to various Waltons, aka the Wal-Mart family) with $31 billion; Sheldon Adelson took #11 with $28.5 billion; Sergey Brin, Google CEO got #14 with $24.4 billion; George Soros, Michael Douglas’ new best friend, came in at #19 with $20 billion, and finally, Mark Zuckerberg slid in at #20 with his paltry $19 billion.

Honorable mention to Ralph Lauren (#54) with $7.7 billion. That’s nothing to scoff at.
