Seinfeld’s Hip Hop Debut

Jerry Seinfeld is a youthful 58 years old, so we shouldn’t be surprised that he’s taking a stab at being a hip-hop artist…right? The expert at observational comedy has channeled his way with words into some rapping with Wale, the artist who once made an album inspired by Seinfeld’s television show — and who Seinfeld’s wife Jessica is coincidentally really into. Here’s a video of the funnyman talking — but not rapping — about all this.

Mazel tov to first-time director Joseph Gordon-Levitt, whose “Don Jon’s Addiction” was acquired by Relativity Media for $4 million after it premiered at Sundance this week.

In further proof that the uber-driven James Franco never bothers to take the time to sleep, word is out that he is planning to adapt James Ellroy’s 1995 novel, “American Tabloid” for the big screen.

It’s all for the sake of his art. Shia LaBoeuf talks about how he actually dropped acid in order to supposedly better play his role in his new film, “The Necessary Death of Charlie Countryman.” Now that’s professional dedication.

We know Emmy Rossum as an actress, but how many of us know that her roots are in music? Well, now she’s returning to whence she came from with the release of her first album in about seven years. The album is called “Sentimental Journey,” and here’s the video of “Blossoms,” one of the cuts off it.

“Girls” is hot right now, but who knows how long the HBO series will last. However, fear not — Lena Dunham won’t be leaving the cable network any time soon. She has revealed that she has a 6-year contract.

Daniel Radcliffe says he is a bit shocked by all the questions he’s been getting about his gay sex scenes in “Kill Your Darlings,” now showing at Sundance.

If you’re a big fan of the iconic Israeli rock band Kaveret, you’ll want to be in Jerusalem in June for the band’s special reunion concert in celebration of the 40th anniversary of their breakout album, “Sipurei Poogy” (Poogy’s Stories).

Today’s celeb sightings: Jake Gyllenhaal together with Hugh Jackman on the Georgia set of their new film, “Prisoners”; and Jason Segel and Michelle Williams showing their affection for one another while out to dinner at Axe, a hot dining spot in Venice, California.
