Move Over Hillary Clinton, Here Comes Lindsay Lohan
You’d think Lindsay Lohan would have enough problems of her own to sort out.
But no. La Lohan took a short a break from swiping jewelry, getting intoxicated, making scenes at nightclubs, rehab visits, and court appearances, to make a statement on the Egyptian revolution and Middle East peace via Twitter.
These were two of her tweets over the weekend according to Ynet :”Congratulations to the people of Egypt. Your voices were heard and you proved that peaceful demonstrations are possible and effective.”
She continued: “I pray Egypt maintains its treaty with Israel and sets the trend for its neighbors to create peace with Israel and the entire region.”
Hopefully, the fact that the most troubled young star in Hollywood found the time and energy to follow current events, and remained sober long enough to comment on them in an intelligent fashion, is a sign that her downward spiral may have stopped.
And her concern for Israel is notable. She may not be the most influential public figure to express support for the Jewish state but hey, in these uncertain times, Israel can use all the prayers it can get, even if they come from flaky actresses with criminal tendencies.
