Ozzfest Comes to the Holy Land
A cloud of dark Goth, heavy metal and a whole bunch of bleeps will settle over Israel this September.
Ozzy Osbourne, founding member of Black Sabbath, and the Godfather of Heavy Metal will bring Ozzfest, one of the world’s largest heavy metal music tours, to the holy land. Taking over Tel Aviv’s HaYarkon Park, Ozzfest Israel will host a $2 million Ozzfest village, according to a recent article on JPost.com. The festival will also showcase hard rock band KoЯn and several groups, yet to be announced.
Ozzy, who co-starred with his family on the MTV reality series “The Osbournes” will bring along his wife and manager Sharon, who’s the daughter of Jewish rock n’ roll promoter and entrepreneur Don Arden, and celebrity children Jack and Kelly. The family will tour the country before the show and stop at the Western Wall.
With alll those long black coats, Ozzy will fit right in.
