When the state of Israel was created 75 years ago, there were already over 700,000 Jews living in the brand new Jewish state. Each of them in their own way contributed to the infrastructure, defense and spirit of the nascent Jewish nation. In honor of Israel’s 75th birthday, we spotlight a few of the men and women who played a crucial part in the creation of the state.
