U.S.-Bound Iranian Couple Arrested Carrying Forged Israeli Passports
An Iranian couple was arrested while trying to board a British Airways flight in India because they were carrying forged Israeli passports.
The couple, who tried to board the flight on Thursday at Chennai Airport, also carried their original Iranian passports, the New Indian Express reported on Saturday.
The couple, who met and married while they were both working in India, had planned to settle in the United States and reportedly thought it would be easier to enter the U.S with Israeli passports.
Aiport police told the newspaper that the passports were forged in Goa in India, where the man was working.
