West Bank Settlers Mock John Kerry on New Web Site
The umbrella body for the West Bank settlement movement launched a website satirizing attempts by U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry to broker a peace agreement between Israel and the Palestinians.
The English-language “John Kerry Solutions Ltd” site started this week by the Yesha Council advertises a satiric consultancy firm that operates under the slogan, “We don’t have any good solutions, but you’ve gotta do something, right?”
It follows two viral videos produced by the settlers’ group featuring a bumbling Kerry lookalike that the State Department’s spokeswoman, Jen Psaki, called “unacceptable.”
The site was launched in conjunction with a billboard and newspaper ad campaign. A similar Hebrew-language website was launched last month.
In a statement, the council wrote Monday that the anti-Kerry campaign “is part of a larger Yesha Council public policy campaign against capitulating to U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry’s pressure to surrender the strategic hills of Judea and Samaria that overlook 70 percent of Israel’s population to create a Palestinian state.”
