Eight Israelis Hit by Rocks in Attack Near Hebron
Eight Israelis and a Palestinian girl were injured by stones thrown at the vehicles they were riding in near Hebron.
The attacks came on Saturday night, following Shabbat activities in Hebron as part of the popular Chayei Sarah Shabbat in Hebron, where thousands of Jews gather for the reading of the Torah portion in which Abraham purchases the Cave of the Patriarchs as a burial ground for his wife Sarah.
The injured Israelis were riding on a bus returning home from Hebron, which came under attack by Palestinian rock throwers. After coming under attack by the rock assault, the bus continued to a nearby Israel Defense Forces checkpoint where the injured were treated by paramedics and then taken to a nearby hospital.
The Palestinian girl was riding in a private car which also came under rock attack.
