Boys Arrested in West Bank Taxi Firebombing

Three teens were arrested on suspicion of being involved in the firebombing of a Palestinian taxi.

The three teens, ages 12 and 13, were arrested Sunday, two of them reportedly at the yeshiva middle school that they attend.

The firebomb attack occurred Aug. 16 near the Bat Ayin settlement in the Gush Etzion bloc. A second firebomb prepared to be thrown also was found.

Six Palestinians were injured in the attack, including five from one family. Five of the taxi’s passengers remain hospitalized.

The teens, of Bat Ayin, were to be held until at least Monday. They could be released Monday to house arrest or ordered held for more questioning.

They were reportedly questioned in Bat Ayin at the time of the attack but not arrested.
