May their memories be for a blessing: Shoshana Davis, 35
Shoshana Davis, who worked in marketing, was passionate about travel — on a budget. On her Instagram account, @wanderlustonashoestring, she described hers as “a family of adventure junkies making the best of vacation days, weekends, and airline miles.”
Shoshana died on March 23, at age 35, after falling ill to Covid-19. She lived in Park Ridge, N.J., and is survived by her husband, Adam Kwartowitz, and their 3-year-old daughter, Sienna,
Although she couldn’t give Sienna the world, Shoshana tried to show her as much of it as possible, on both a local and global scale. From skiing to goat yoga, museums to holiday markets, she seized upon all of life’s in-between moments, doing her best to make her family’s free time together fun, meaningful, and memorable.
In recent years, the family visited Spain, France, Gibraltar, Switzerland, Italy, Budapest, and beyond, always chronicling their trips in colorful, skillfully produced YouTube videos and with beautiful, professional-level photos on social media. Shoshana’s occasional hashtag #SiennaSeestheWorld has inspired awe (and maybe a little envy) from adult friends who still haven’t been to half the places that the toddler has already seen!
Above all, Shoshana Davis was a gentle, imaginative, compassionate soul whose absence is already felt strongly and profoundly. Those of us who knew her hope, above all, that Sienna will grow up knowing that her mom’s love for her spanned the entire globe.
