Mark Strauss-Cohn
Rabbi Mark Strauss-Cohn has been with Temple Emanuel since 2001. In that time, he has not only led the congregation, but has also worked tirelessly to reach out to the larger community. He is part of “A Priest and A Rabbi Walk into a Bar,” in which he and an Episcopalian priest discuss theological matters. In the South, this is a lovely feat, made enticing with humor, food and drink. I converted to Judaism in 2002 under his guidance and from the first moment I stepped into Temple Emanuel, I felt as if I had come home to the mother ship. Rabbi Strauss-Cohn is inspiring and leads by stellar example. He is an outstanding rabbi.
