ADL Releases 2013 List of Top Ten Anti-Israel Groups in America

The Anti-Defamation League on Monday released their 2013 list of the top ten anti-Israel groups based in America. The list included two groups with Jewish affiliations.

They are (in no particular order except alphabetical):

ANSWER (Act Now to Stop War and End Racism)
American Muslims for Palestine
CODEPINK
Friends of Sabeel-North America
If Americans Knew/Council for the National Interest
Jewish Voice for Peace (JVP)
Muslim Public Affairs Council (MPAC)
Neturei Karta
Students for Justice in Palestine
U.S. Campaign to End the Israeli Occupation

ADL National Director Abraham H. Foxman said in a statement that these groups “are fixated on delegitimizing Israel and convincing the American public that Israel is an international villain that deserves to be ostracized and isolated.”

The criteria to be included on this list included ability to organize and implement so-called BDS campaigns against Israel (boycott, divestment and sanctions), sponsorship of and participation in anti-Israel activities, and lobbying against Israel or supporting anti-Israel policies.

In addition, many of these groups also engage in rhetoric comparing various aspects of Israel, the Israeli government, or Israeli policies toward the Palestinians as reminiscent of the Nazi treatment of the Jews during the Holocaust, the ADL said.

Only four of the organizations listed this year — American Muslims for Palestine, CODEPINK, Neturei Karta and MPAC — are new to the list, the ADL said.
