Woody Allen’s Son Wins Rhodes Scholarship
Ronan Farrow, the over-achieving son of Woody Allen and Mia Farrow, has been named a Rhodes Scholar.
The 23-year-old, who graduated college at 15 and already aced Yale Law School, will study international development at Oxford University in Britain. He’s now working as a special advisor for Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton.
“Rhodes is a great honor & opportunity,” Ronan Tweeted.
Among the 31 other scholars is Miriam Rosenbaum, who attends Princeton University.
Rosenbaum, who lives in the Bronx, is an observant Jew who grew up in an Orthodox community. Although Rosenbaum found out about her scholarship Saturday, she had to wait until sundown to inform her friends because of the Sabbath.
“(I) hope I can be a role model, especially for Orthodox Jewish girls to get an education and strive to do whatever you can,” Rosenbaum told the Post.
The awards, created in 1902 by colonialist Cecil Rhodes, cover all expenses for two or three years of study at Oxford.
