POTUS, Hammering Away: While on the campaign trail, Barack Obama chided the GOP’s private donations, suggesting that some of the cash came from abroad. “Groups that receive foreign money are spending huge sums to influence American elections, and they won’t tell you where the money for their ads come from,” he said. Ohio’s First Jewish Chief Justice?: “If elected, [Ohio Chief Justice Eric] Brown would not only be the first Jewish justice to head the court, he will also be the only Democrat residing on the highest court of the buckeye state. And this is one of the main points Brown is trying to make on his campaign.”(MitzVote)

Crist Plays Ball: And in, er, the most important nugget of today’s campaign news, Independent Florida senatorial candidate Charlie Crist threw a pitch at a baseball game. It was, well, not the best pitch. “Ohhhhhh,” the sellout crowd said, as the governor threw up his arms. (
