James Corden Goes From Late-Night Comedy to Kosher Butchering

When I watched James Corden host the Tony’s last weekend, I didn’t imagine that the next time I saw the British comedian he’d be wearing a kippa and an apron in a kosher butcher shop, ringing up sales and cutting up steaks.
Then I saw this hysterical video. As part of a running sketch called “Take a Break” on his Late Late Show, Corden stopped by Western Kosher in Los Angeles and offered to take over for the young man working the checkout counter, who’d been at his shift since 7 a.m.
Corden proceeds to scan and bag groceries before being sent to work with the butchers in the back. He even drives a forklift behind the store, wishing everybody a Gut Shabbes as he goes about his various tasks.
