Trump campaign strategic advisor and unofficial Jewish liaison tests positive for coronavirus
The strategic advisor for President Donald Trump’s 2020 presidential campaign has tested positive coronavirus, he announced in a tweet Wednesday.
Boris Epshteyn, who also served as a senior advisor to Trump’s 2016 campaign for president and as the communications director for his presidential inaugural committee, said he is experiencing mild symptoms and is quarantining.
I have tested positive for COVID-19. I am experiencing mild symptoms, and am following all appropriate protocols, including quarantining and contact tracing.

Epshteyn is the latest staffer in Trump’s orbit to test positive for coronavirus, a group that includes Mark Meadows, Trump’s chief of staff, who tested positive earlier this month.
Trump, in a departure from previous administrations, did not appoint a Jewish liaison. Epshteyn has served as an unofficial Jewish liaison, sparring with former President-elect Joe Biden’s Jewish engagement director Aaron Keyak on Twitter and surfacing news stories about Jewish Republicans and members of Congress perceived as anti-Israel.
Hey @akeyak, is this a reason why you only pretended to support @JoeBiden?

Correction, Nov. 25, 1:33 p.m.: A previous version of this article stated that Trump had not appointed an antisemitism envoy. In fact, Elan Carr was appointed Special Envoy for Monitoring and Combating anti-Semitism in February of 2019.
