Trump’s cabinet hated Jared Kushner: new Bob Woodward book
A new book by veteran reporter Bob Woodward says President Trump’s cabinet members saw the president’s son-in-law and senior adviser Jared Kushner as unworthy of their trust and weak in dealing with world leaders, according to the Washington Post.
Former Secretary of State Rex Tillerson called Kushner’s warm interactions with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu “nauseating to watch” and “stomach churning,” according to Woodward.
Kushner also recommended people read “Alice In Wonderland” and study the Cheshire cat to understand Trump’s governing strategy.
The book is based on nine hours of recorded interviews with Trump.
Kushner also said of Jim Mattis, Rex Tillerson and former National Economic Council director Gary Cohn that “The most dangerous people around the president are overconfident idiots,” according to the book.
“Rage” is slated for release on September 15 and is Woodward’s second book about the Trump presidency.
Woodward also released audio tapes that feature Trump acknowledging he intentionally understated the risks of the coronavirus.
