Estee Lauder Targeted For Boycotts Due To Ronald Lauder’s Trump Support
The group that led the boycott of SoulCycle and other brands owned by billionaire Trump supporter Stephen Ross has turned its attention to Estee Lauder due to the relationship between President Trump and board member and heir Ronald Lauder.
Ronald Lauder, the son of Estee Lauder, is a leading Jewish philanthropist and the president of the World Jewish Congress. He also donated $100,000 to the Trump Victory PAC in 2017, Yahoo! reported, and has advised the president on Israel issues.
The #GrabYourWallet campaign, which spearheaded the boycott of Ross’s companies, recently put Estee Lauder on its growing boycott list, saying that its cosmetics brands would be removed if Lauder pledged to stop donating to the president’s reelection campaign, Yahoo! News reported.
Unlike many other major Jewish organizations, the World Jewish Congress did not release a statement criticizing Trump’s recent claim that Jews who vote for the Democratic Party show “great disloyalty.”
