WATCH: Ivanka Tries To Schmooze World Leaders. Awkward!

White House adviser Ivanka Trump was captured bumbling through a conversation with world leaders at the 2019 G20 summit in Japan, Business Insider reported.

The French government released a video of the awkward meeting, which featured President Trump’s daughter looking out of place alongside Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, UK Prime Minister Theresa May, French President Emmanuel Macron and the International Monetary Fund’s chairwoman, Christine Lagarde. It was later tweeted by the BBC’s Parham Ghobadi.

In the short clip, the leaders seem to be talking about female representation. They weren’t paying Trump much mind, but she smiled and nodded along. She also managed to slip in a few comments.

“And it’s the same with the defense side,” Trump is heard saying. “In terms of the whole ecosystem, it’s been very male-dominated.”

Trump is not an elected leader and has been criticized for attending important events, such as the Group of 20 summit, and for making inappropriate seat choices.
