Anthony Weiner Is Having A Hard Time Selling His Book Proposal

Former congressman Anthony Weiner, newly released from prison after pleading guilty to sending obscene text messages to an underage girl, is attempting to sell a book proposal, the New York Post reported Tuesday.
But he’s reportedly been having trouble finding a buyer: “Every Simon & Schuster imprint has passed,” a source told The Post.
Weiner served 15 months at Federal Medical Center Devens in Massachusetts, where he was released six months early for good behavior. The prison is known for being accommodating to Jewish prisoners, with kosher food, a volunteer rabbi and weekly Shabbat services.
Weiner resigned from Congress in 2011, and then flamed out of the 2013 New York City mayoral race, after tweeting and texting sexually explicit images at women. Weiner said in his 2017 guilty plea that he had a “sickness” of sex addiction.
Weiner also played a role in the 2016 presidential election after the F.B.I. discovered work emails belonging to his then-wife Huma Abedin’s boss, Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton, on a laptop belonging to him, revealing the secretary’s use of private servers and emails for work-related purposes.
It is as yet unclear whether these episodes will be covered in the book, the Post reported.
