Ilhan Omar Spokesman: Anti-Semitism Is A ‘Right-Wing Force’
A spokesman for Representative Ilhan Omar tweeted that anti-Semitism is a “right-wing force,” in response to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s comments at the American Israel Public Affairs Committee this week.
Jeremy Slevin, a spokesman for the Minnesota congresswoman, was criticized Wednesday after he wrote “Anti-semitism is a right-wing force” eight times on Twitter.
Anti-semitism is a right-wing force Anti-semitism is a right-wing force Anti-semitism is a right-wing force Anti-semitism is a right-wing force Anti-semitism is a right-wing force Anti-semitism is a right-wing force Anti-semitism is a right-wing force Anti-semitism is a right-win https://t.co/IbISMS7lXU

Many argued that Slevin was erasing Omar’s previous comments, which were viewed as anti-Semitic.
Slevin clarified that he “was referring to the United Stated (which I should have made clear).” In response to accusations that he himself is an anti-Semite, he shared his Jewish history on the social media platform.
Since the right is now trying to label me an anti-Semite: https://t.co/1tW9DlzwSd
