Ted Cruz Says A Rabbi Predicted His Beard Would ‘Promote Middle East Peace’
Senator Ted Cruz got a “pretty cool” comment about his beard from a rabbi.
Cruz tweeted on Wednesday that his friend in Israel, who is studying at a yeshiva, told him that his rabbi had some strong words to say about his facial hair.
“’It gives Cruz a Talmudic & Rabbinic look & presence that will put the fear of the Lord into Israel’s enemies & promote Middle East peace,’” he recalled his friend saying.
Although he claims it was “pretty cool,” he seems to have been taken aback, writing, “Wow. Perhaps a bit much….”
Pretty cool: A good friend is studying in Yeshiva in Israel. His rabbi told him he liked my beard, elaborating “It gives Cruz a Talmudic & Rabbinic look & presence that will put the fear of the Lord into Israel’s enemies & promote Middle East peace.” Wow. Perhaps a bit much….
