Trump Retweets Picture Of Rod Rosenstein Behind Bars

President Trump said in an interview with the New York Post on Wednesday that Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein belongs behind bars because, “He should have never picked a special counsel.”

Until recently, Rosenstein directly oversaw the work of Special Counsel Robert Mueller, who is investigating whether Russia interfered in the 2016 presidential election.

Earlier that day, the president retweeted an image of several officials behind bars, captioned, “Now that Russian collusion is a proven lie, when do the trials for treason begin?”

The image features Rosenstein as well as Mueller, former Presidents Clinton and Obama, Hillary Clinton, James Comey, Loretta Lynch, John Podesta, Huma Abedin, Eric Holder and James Clapper.

Trump refused to say whether he intends to fire Rosenstein.
