Police Investigating Suspicious Package At Office Of Debbie Wasserman Schultz
Updated, 12:15 p.m.
Police are investigating a possible suspicious package at the South Florida office of Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz, NBC Miami reported.
Police responded to a call at the Sunrise, Florida, office on Wednesday, the same day suspicious packages were sent to the homes of Barack Obama and Hillary Rodham Clinton, as well as the New York offices of CNN. Wasserman Schultz’s office was reportedly evacuated.
The return address on the suspicious packages sent to Clinton and Obama belonged to Wasserman Schultz, three senior law enforcement officials told NBC.
A pipe bomb was found Monday in the mailbox of Democratic megadonor George Soros, who is Jewish.
Wasserman Schultz, who is also Jewish, is the former chairwoman of the Democratic National Committee.
