Michael Cohen Spoke For Hours With Mueller Team About Russia, Collusion
Michael Cohen, President Trump’s former personal attorney, has spoken over the past month for hours with investigators working for special counsel Robert Mueller, ABC News reported Thursday.
The interviews covered Trump’s financial and business dealings with Russia, as well as possible collusion during the 2016 presidential campaign, the network reported.
ABC added that the meetings, which took place in New York and Washington, D.C., were voluntary, without any promise of immunity.
Cohen pleaded guilty to eight counts in federal court last month. As part of his plea, he admitted to making a payment to silence porn star Stormy Daniels at Trump’s direction.
Cohen’s lawyer Lanny Davis said soon after the plea that Cohen was “more than happy to tell the special counsel all that he knows.”
ABC also reported that Cohen is also cooperating with a New York state investigation into The Trump Organization and Trump family charities.
