Jake Tapper’s 11-Year-Old Daughter Is Publishing A Book

Jake Tapper’s daughter is following in his footsteps earlier than expected.
The CNN anchor and best-selling author’s daughter has a picture book due out in March, The Washington Post reported.
Alice Paul Tapper, who turned 11 on Monday, collaborated with illustrator Marta Kissi on “Raise Your Hand.” It will be published with Penguin Young Readers.
The book was born out of an idea Alice and fellow Girl Scouts had after Alice noticed on a school trip that boys spoke up more often than the girls did. Girl Scouts can now receive a “Raise Your Hand” patch by raising their hands in class and encouraging at least three others to do the same, the Post reported. Alice Tapper said in a statement that she hoped her book would inspire girls “to be bold and brave.”
Her father, a cartoonist before becoming a journalist, has the task of contributing “spot illustrations.”
