Bungalow Explosion Injures Yeshiva Students

Fourteen people were injured when a bungalow in a camp for Hasidic boys suddenly exploded on Friday, NBC News reported.

The inferno occurred in Monroe, New York, about an hour outside of New York City. Neighbors reportedly said the teenage boys, who attend the school Yeshivas Novominsk and were on their end of the year graduation trip, returned to the bungalow, smelled gas and opened a window. It was then when the bungalow blew up, at approximately 12:15 AM.

All of the students are expected to make a full recovery. “Thankfully it is not as dramatic as the new outlets reported,” Rabbi Lipa Brennan, the yeshiva’s executive director told VIN News.

The cause of the explosion is still under investigation.
