Jared Kushner Laughed At Trump’s ‘Hispanic Rape’ Joke
In an Oval Office meeting last year, President Trump allegedly recited made-up Hispanic names and described potential crimes they could have committed, such as rape or murder— something that his son-in-law and senior adviser Jared Kushner found quite funny, The Washington Post reported on Thursday.
The scene reportedly took place the night before Trump’s first speech to Congress in February 2017. Kushner reportedly let out a laugh as the president used fake Hispanic names and stated that Americans would roar when the criminals were thrown out of the country — as campaign rally attendees did when he discussed crimes committed by undocumented immigrants.
A senior White House official told the Post that Trump did discuss the “crowd enthusiasm for crackdowns on criminal aliens” but denied that Trump used Hispanic names.
Trump has focused on securing the nation’s border with Mexico since announcing his candidacy in 2015, when he described such immigrants as rapists, drug dealers and criminals. He continues to push for a wall on the entire U.S.-Mexico border and sending National Guard troops to the border.
