Latino Twitter Comes For Pro-Trump Lawyer Who Threatened Spanish-Speaking Workers

On Wednesday, employees at a Manhattan deli took a video of a customer berating customers for not speaking English and threatening to call ICE on the deli’s Spanish-speaking employees. The man was quickly identified by a massive Twitter mob as Aaron Schlossberg, a Jewish, pro-Trump lawyer who ironically advertises his ability to speak Spanish on his firm’s website.
The Twitter mob took it upon itself to trash Schlossberg’s internet presence. His law firm’s Google page received nearly 3,000 one-star reviews, many of them attesting to Schlossberg’s alleged virulent racism. His firm’s Yelp page currently has over 2,000 one-star reviews. Users posted photo-shopped images of Schlossberg in a sombrero, or simply tagged pictures of Mexican food with the location of his firm’s offices in Midtown East.

Others used Google’s “suggested website” feature to try and change the link that Google sends users to when you search for Schlossberg’s firm. Instead of www.aaronschlossberglaw.com, Google is now reveiewing whether it should send users to www.aaronschlossberglaw.com/racist.
Many people on social media justified the massive amount of energy given to ruining Schlossberg’s online presence by pointing to his pedigree. Schlossberg is a graduate of the elite Haverford School in Philadelphia’s Maine Line area, and got his undergraduate degree from Johns Hopkins University. They are saying that the world needs to realize that highly educated people can be racist, too.

We know that being formally educated does not mean that you’re not a dumb racist on the side. Aaron Schlossberg is an attorney, Jennifer Schulte is a PhD, and Dick Spencer, Duke gross. It’s not just for uneducated, backwoods folks. It’s educated, urbane people, too. Fun.

One Twitter user wrote that “Aaron Schlossberg just ruined his whole life because he couldn’t keep his racist mouth shut.”
