Progressive Jewish Candidate Raises Money After Democrat HQ Slams Her
The progressive Texas Democrat slammed by the Democratic Party’s official House campaign arm is raking in donations in the wake of the attack, according to The Texas Tribune.
According to the Tribune, Laura Moser received $60,000 in campaign donations in the two days after the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee dumped opposition research against her.
“I would rather not have been attacked by my own party and have not had the money, any day,” Moser told the Tribune. “But I’m glad to see that people are tired of politics as usual.”
Moser, who has contributed articles as a culture writer to the Forward, is a candidate in a crowded Democratic primary in Texas. She is also founder of a text messaging-based activism platform called Daily Action and a prominent anti-Trump activist.
According to the Tribune, the actress Alyssa Milano campaigned with Moser over the weekend. “I will probably never give another dime to the DCCC after what they pulled here,” Milano told the Tribune.
