Neo-Nazi GOP Candidate Says He’s ‘Not A Single-issue Candidate’
Arthur Jones, a Republican candidate for Illinois’ 3rd Congressional District (in a deep-blue part of Chicago), has long been a member of the American Nazi Party. He attended parties celebrating Hitler’s birthday. He recently called the Holocaust “a greatly overblown event.”
But, despite wearing a “Veterans of Jewish Wars” cap to events, Jones told the Washington Examiner. he is not a “single-issue voter.”
“I’m not running as a Nazi, I’m running as a Republican,” Jones said. (He ran for mayor of Milwaukee in 1976 “as an open national socialist, complete with a swastika,” he said.)
Jones is very supportive of Trump, who he says has “expressed what’s in his heart,” but who is being compromised by having Jews around him, such as his son-in-law Jared Kushner.
“I’ve never met the man, but he’s got the right idea. He has to stand up for America first and if that’s going to create some rancor in his own family, so be it,” Jones said.
Jones was able to get his name on the ballot after collecting 603 names in a petition.
