Why Ivanka Trump’s Vote Wasn’t Counted In New York Elections — And Jared Didn’t Even Try
Ivanka Trump’s absentee ballot wasn’t counted in New York’s elections last month, the Daily News reported.
The president’s daughter did send her absentee ballot to New York City’s board of elections. But she mailed it on election day, which was too late for the vote to be counted.
Her stepmother, Melania Trump, had a similar problem. Though the president’s wife did send in an absentee ballot, she neglected to sign her ballot, making it invalid. Jared Kushner, Ivanka Trump’s husband, did not submit an absentee ballot, according to the Daily News.
President Trump himself did successfully fill out a valid absentee ballot. But the Daily News noted that the president had misstated the month of his birth in his application for an absentee ballot.
