Winning the “War on Christmas” was a recurring theme during Donald Trump’s presidential campaign, and continued after he was elected. At its center is the belief that Democrats, specifically Barack Obama, caved in to political correctness and preferred the non-denominational “Happy Holidays” instead of the Christian “Merry Christmas” in official greetings.

As the holiday season begins, it is clear that Trump has lived up to his campaign promise.

A framed official holiday card signed by the Trump family states clearly: “Merry Christmas and Happy New Years.” Obama chose the more general “Happy Holidays” in his official White House greeting cards.

Axios reported that the White House rooms are full of Christmas decorations, including the China Room, which is “set up for a family Christmas dinner” and features President Franklin D. Roosevelt’s 1866 edition of “A Christmas Carol.” On the State Floor of the White House, the Grand Foyer and Cross Hall celebrate the first themed White House Christmas, which was the “Nutcracker Suite” in 1961.
